Privacy Statement

It is important that your privacy is safeguarded when using the service and that you understand how we use your personal information.

In this Privacy Statement we explain what information we collect, why, and how we use the information.

This Privacy Statement is also linked to S47’s Terms of Use.

Your agreement to comply with and be bound by these Terms of Use is deemed to occur upon your first use of the service; if you do not agree to be bound by these terms and conditions, you should stop using the service immediately.

We have set out below our purposes for processing your personal information and the legal principle that applies to each one.

Completion of the agreement with you (contract)

S47 uses your personal information to deliver the service as agreed in our Terms of Use.

Improving the functionality of the service (legitimate interests)

It is in our interest to offer a user friendly service. We use your personal information to improve your experience e.g. automatic login, allergy reminders; we do some of this using cookies – please see our cookie policy for more information.

Personalisation of the service and marketing materials (legitimate interests)

It is in our interest to provide a service which is as relevant to you as possible.
We do some of this using cookies – please see our cookie policy for more information.

Development, improvement, statistics and measurement (legitimate interests)

It is in our interest to better understand how our users access and use the service, in order to better respond to users’ preferences and wishes and to improve the service as a whole.

We therefore collect your personal information and use it for our research and analysis purposes in this respect. We do some of this using cookies – please see our cookie policy for more information.

Marketing (legitimate interests or consent)

It is in our interests to keep you up-to-date with our offers and promotions. For users who have an active customer relationship with S47 (that is, you are a registered user), we may be permitted to send marketing by email, text message or other electronic communication methods on the basis of our legitimate interests. Such marketing always takes place within the framework of applicable data protection and privacy legislation. You may opt out of such marketing at any time by unsubscribing from the relevant communication.

It is also in our interests to use surveys to collect feedback from users so we can improve our services and develop them. An invitation including a link to the survey is sent to the email address or telephone number you registered upon entry. If you do not wish to participate and/or not receive further invitations to participate in surveys, you can unsubscribe by using applicable functionality in the invitation.

For purposes required by law (legal obligation)

We process your personal information where we are required to hold or collect personal data to meet legal requirements on us. We will also share your personal information where required to do so in response to requests by government or other authorities conducting an investigation.

3. How we share your personal information

We use third party service providers who are our processors to process personal information on our behalf subject to a data processing agreement.

4. Your rights in relation to your personal data

You have certain rights in respect of the personal data we process about you, including the right to access, rectify, erase, obtain and reuse across different services (“data portability”), restrict or object to certain processing, and withdraw your consent to processing if the legal basis for the processing is consent, of or in respect of the personal data we process about you.

You can request to exercise these rights by contacting us.

These rights may be limited e.g., if fulfilling your request would reveal personal information about another person, where it would infringe the rights of a third party (including our rights) or if you ask us to delete information which we are required by law to keep or have compelling legitimate interests in keeping. Relevant exemptions are included in applicable data protection law. We will inform you of relevant exemptions we rely upon when responding to any request you make.

Some of the personal information you have provided us directly is visible in your user profile. We encourage you to update your profile if any of the information we have registered about you is incorrect.

5. Retention

We will not process your personal information beyond what is necessary to fulfil the purpose of the processing and our statutory duties.

When you delete your user profile, your name and contact information associated to your activities will be anonymised/removed.

6. Children's privacy

Children may be registered as participants for the use of the service; the club/organisation or National Governing Body is wholly responsible for making all reasonable efforts to verify in such cases that consent is given or authorised by the holder of parental responsibility over the child, taking into consideration available technology.

7. Cookies

We use cookies and other technologies to enhance the user experience and make the most effective use of the service. A cookie is a piece of data sent from an online site that is visited and stored locally on the user's browser. The purpose is to use cookies to maintain data related to user preferences and account settings, as well as to evaluate and compile statistics about user activity.
